STEM

Mr. Boyars asked us today why the teachers chose STEM to match a career cluster. I think that the teachers named STEM the same as the career cluster because they offer the classes in that academy/ cluster that they need for the careers in that group. There are teachers here that teach science, technology, engineering and math in some way. Some of them teach different levels or different types of that subject but they teach that class. STEM will affect everyone's life because everyone uses science technology, english and math in their everyday life.

Connection

One of the connections that I'm starting to make is that the median wages for Missouri are just a little bit higher than the US median wages. I am also starting to notice that most of the careers you have to have a lot of the same qualities such as integrity,written and oral expression, reading comprehension ect. Its important to come to school to learn and to get better at these qualities.

Career Exploration

This is a class that will help us figure out a career so we know what different classes to take throughout our four years of the highschool! This is a semester long class only for freshman. Over the past few weeks we have researched several careers from the different Pathways. We will be blogging about the careers we will research now!
