This week we have been researching careers in Government and Public administration. The two careers that I did are a Broadcast news analyst and a Chief Executive. These two careers are similar because they are both there to inform the public of something. For example, Broadcast News Analyst is just a job to inform the public of any kinds of new news or anything currently happening with the environment or in the government. Such as when the government shut down in October, we all found out about it through the broadcast news analyst. Weather it was from the Radio or the Television some sort of analyst was more than likely how you found out about it. Chief Executives on the other hand have to provide public direction. Basically one of their jobs is also to inform people about their business. For example, when someone starts a new business the Chief Executive is the one who has to contact the billboard company if they want a billboard made, they have to talk to a graphic designer to make up a logo for them. Both careers have some sort of way to tell the public about something. These are two very different careers but both have the same basic idea behind them to give information about something.

This week was a very busy week in career exploration class. On Monday we did our second career in Education and Training. We did our first career last Thursday and then finished it on Monday. Tuesday we talked about the two careers we did in Education and Training and the things they have in common. Wednesday we did our first career in the Agriculture cluster. Yesterday we searched a career that was opposite from our true color. I am an orange so I had to search a career in the Green category. The career I searched was a police detective. The reason we had to do this was to see what kinds of careers might not be the best for us to go to because maybe it has things that we won't find interesting. Or maybe it just isn't a good career for you. We got to research it some to see why it wouldn't be a good career for people of your true color!
